going to the circus....

Last weekend the Ringling Bros. Circus came to town!! It was the first time going to the circus for all four of us so we were all very excited. We took the train down into the city and Luke was almost as excited by that as he was to go to the circus! Although he was very disappointed that the conductor did not come up and down the aisles and take the tickets, like on his favorite TV show, Dinosaur Train. But the circus was amazing. The animals and the acrobats and the magicians and the clowns--they were all so great. And we had a wonderful time!

waiting for the circus to start!

watching the acrobats, swinging so high up

the elephants walking in...

Check out those elephants!! Amazing!

Watching intently and yes, that is Henry fast asleep in my lap.
Poor thing, he tried to stay awake to see the tigers, but just couldn't.

arguably the best part of the day...riding the train into the city!!

daddy and me at school...

Today was Take Dad to School Day and Luke was so excited! They played with dinosaurs (of course), played with blocks and trains and cars, and sang songs and in general they had a good time. But the funniest part was this survey that the teachers got Luke to fill out about his dad. Here are some of his hilarious answers:

My dad is as tall as a dinosaur.

At work, my dad eats lunch.

My favorite thing to do with Dad is play dinosaurs.

My dad is 10 yrs old.

Dad likes to watch what I watch on TV.

And my favorite: I love my daddy because I just do.

That is so Luke. No need to explain further; it just is.

luke in the snow...

Luke adored the snow!! Couldn't wait to go out and did not want to go back in.

Making tracks...

Making "Louie" the snowman

The finishing touch...an bigger backside?

He said, "I am so proud I could do a dance" So he did....Hilarious!

"I love you Louie"

This is what he had been waiting for since he saw Jack's blog video of sledding. Unfortunately we did not have a sled, a big enough hill or enough snow to really compete with Jack but Luke did not care. He was thrilled with what we had!
