visiting cousin Elizabeth...

On our visit to Nashville, Sam's cousin Rebecca and her little girl, Elizabeth, came over for a visit. Luke was very excited to see cousin Elizabeth and so wanted to play with her: after an brief warming-up period, Elizabeth was joining in too. They played with Luke's play food and his toolbox and the favorite part of the visit was sitting on the steps together, whispering and watching a cat playing outside.

Sharing secrets...

Oh, you are hilarious!!

a mom's humiliating prerogative...

OK, so I know he will kill me for posting these but it was just too cute for words. Luke was playing the garage (it was raining all weekend) and he was riding around on his tricycle and playing with Sam's table saw box. (And yes, he is in his underwear--we were in week one of potty training!) He found an old belt that Sam uses to tie up the Thermarest air mattress and over his head, calling it a tie. Then Luke went in and got his play food lunchbox and hooked it on his bike handle. He was "going to work"! The saw box was work and he would go into and "work" for a while, then eat lunch, then ride on his bike back home. When he left to go to work, he even asked who wanted kisses first, just like Daddy leaving for work! Gotta love imaginative play!

Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

Hi all. This is Luke wishing Mommy a happy Mother's Day. We had a fairly laid back celebration as Daddy's big gift hit a snag and was slightly delayed. Henry and I did manage to give Mommy a great framed picture of ourselves. It is not really vanity if you're a kid, right? I did give Mommy one other present, but I will let her tell you about that in another post. We spent most of the day around the house as we were all recovering from the big MOY ceremony last night. I have posted a link to the news footage below. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms that read this blog. I would wish you all better luck in next year's voting, but I am pretty sure my mom is headed for a repeat!
