sprayground fun....

We headed down to Riverfront Park to their new "sprayground" to meet a few friends from school. Luke and Henry had a really good time and loved splashing around in the water with Luke's school friends and their younger siblings. Afterwards we had a picnic lunch (luke's favorite thing lately) and headed down to the river to feed the ducks and Canadian geese some Cheerios.

I'll get all the pictures on the photo site along with pictures from the backyard pool!

3 yr checkup

Luke went to the doc for his 3 yr checkup today. He was very brave--he had no problems getting his blood pressure taken for the first time or standing straight and tall to be measured or telling her his least favorite foods (juice). Other than keeping an eye (or an ear) on his speech, she pronounced him in perfect health.

His stats are as follows: Weight 36.5 lbs--90% percentile and Height 40 in--93% percentile. He is kind of a square! The pediatrician told us he is as big as a 4 yr old--they are usually about 40 x 40. Daddy's little football player!

the end of camp...

As most of you knew, Luke spent this past week at "Camp Grandma - Gigi Edition" in Nashville. On Saturday, we met Luke and Gigi in Chattanooga and went to the children's museum. Luke had a great time and we were able to break up the car ride back home. Here are just a few pictures from the museum--I'll try to put the rest on shutterfly at naptime. But needless to say, it is an amazing museum, far better than the Atlanta museum--and they have a Curious George exhibit right now!! Need I say more?

Also check out Cousin Elizabeth's Blog for some pictures of what Luke was up to at "Camp Gigi".

the 4th of july

We had a great day for the 4th. After grilling some hot dogs and hamburgers (or hangerbangers as Luke calls them--I have no idea where that came from, but it is cute), we all walked down to the park about a mile down the road and saw the fireworks and stayed up way too late but it was worth it. Luke loved the fireworks--he said they looked like huge sky flowers. which was pretty descriptive, I thought.
